When I am dead, my dearest,
Sing no sad songs for me;
Plant thou no roses at my head,
Nor shady cypress tree:
Be the green grass above me
With showers and dewdrops wet;
And if thou wilt, remember,
And if thou wilt, forget.
I shall not see the shadows,
I shall not feel the rain;
I shall not hear the nightingale
Sing on, as if in pain:
And dreaming through the twilight
That doth not rise nor set,
Haply I may remember,
And haply may forget.
Ah Barnabas Collins and Christina Rossetti--what a combination.
ReplyDeleteHe read the poem beautifully.
i.am.appalled.
ReplyDeleteTim Burton has made a mockery and a farce, a farce I tell you, out of my favorite scary tv show...is nothing sacred anymore?
Well, it will be interesting to see the old characters as "guests."
There is probably some influence of Angelique in the remake, but at least Barnabas can now be with Josette.
ReplyDeleteWhich is a good thing because she misses him, I tell you what.
ReplyDeleteI said Josette, not Hank Hill.
ReplyDeletePffft. Barnabas is only half a...er...vampire, without her and he knows it. He misses her, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat an actor he was!Beatiful done by Jonatha,
ReplyDeleteI never did go see this stupid movie...God rest Jonathan Frid's soul.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can catch it for a dollar at Redbox or other DVD rental place. I was able to watch the entire first season of Downton Abbey for only $1 from Redbox. Of course, I had to watch all six hours in a day, but that beats $20-plus to buy the series.
ReplyDeletePffft. I'll rent that when you rent Star Trek.
DeleteDon't need to rent the new Star Trek -- I've seen it like four times on TNT or TBS or whatever.
ReplyDeleteAre you serious?? :D That's hilarious. I recall a couple of conversations about hell freezing over or something...well you must have liked it to have watched it like four times. Hahahahaha! Toldja!
