The Slumbering Conscience

We must not be like the vast numbers of otherwise good people in Nazi Germany. We must not allow our consciences to sleep, so as to not recognize or otherwise ignore the evil that might come upon us. We must remain awake and watchful and vigilant so that we can plainly see the evil confronting us and hear the voice of conscience and encouragement within us to fight that evil.
